Visitors to our website

E-communications

Security and performance

Sportmax uses a third party service to help maintain the security and performance of the Sportmax website. To deliver this service it processes the IP addresses of visitors to the Sportmax website.

Hosting

This website is hosted by WhySettle (www.whysettle.co.uk) within a UK data centre based in Gloucester. Our data centre partners provide maximum security, with access strictly limited to cleared personnel and monitored by extensive CCTV and access control systems. They have put in place a comprehensive range of physical security measures to guarantee the safety of your data. CCTV covering all areas of the data centres and corporate offices. Highly experienced security guards on duty 24/7, 365 days a year. Role-based access control swipe-card system across multiple secure areas to ensure absolutely no access by unauthorised personnel.

All website traffic (transferral of files) between you and this website is Secured via SSL Certificate, (Secure Socket Layer) so the data transmitted over the internet between your computer and the destination server is secure.

People who contact us via social media

We use a third party provider, Hootsuite to manage our social media interactions. If you send us a private or direct message via social media the message will be stored by Hootsuite for three months. It will not be shared with any other organisations.

People who email us

Any email sent to Sportmax, including any attachments, may be monitored and used by us for reasons of security and for monitoring compliance with office policy. Email monitoring or blocking software may also be used. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send to us is within the bounds of the law.

Client information we hold

We have to hold the details of the people who contract us to work for them in providing our services. We only use contact information to provide our services as agreed by our clients and for other closely related purposes. For example, we might use information about people who we have worked with to offer additional services or to carry out a survey to find out if they are happy with the level of service they received. In addition to client information, we collect contact information for individuals who have asked us to send details of the services we provide. When people receive information, they can choose to unsubscribe from our database at any time and are given an easy way of doing this.
